Product

Product is one of the most exciting and innovative areas of Tesco with various teams in Food (Fresh & Packaged), Procurement, Supply Chain, General Merchandise, F&F and Quality each having the potential to positively affect the lives of millions of Tesco customers every week. Our Product programme provides the opportunity for you to specialise in either our Food Buying (Fresh and Packaged) or Supply Chain areas.

During your 10-week paid programme we’ll give you real-life experience in an area in of either Food Buying or Supply Chain. You’ll also develop new skills, from how you build relationships with colleagues and suppliers to building your commercial awareness. Plus, you’ll have a buddy on hand to support you all the way.

You’ll be supported through your programme with a variety of learning that will build your skills and develop your knowledge. It will be a mix of leadership training, networking and time with our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) networks and leadership team.

A successful internship with us can guarantee your place on our Product Graduate Programme when you graduate - before you’ve even started your final year of study.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for interns with a passion for products and a love for food. It’s not essential that you have any previous experience but it definitely helps if you have a commercial mind, are comfortable with data and curious of market trends and changes.

Working at our Welwyn Garden City campus

Our leafy, green campus is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.

On campus, you'll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. We also have our Heart Building, a place where colleagues can connect and come together, to unlock innovation and collaboration and a place where they can network and socialise. Plus we have an on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art equipment, studios for classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
