Tesco prides itself on putting the customer at the heart of everything we do: our team plays a key role in this, making sure the business lives up to our brand promise of 'Every Little Helps'. To do that, we create compelling and unique customer propositions based on rich insight, examples range from Tesco Finest*, Clubcard and our Christmas campaign. We communicate these propositions to customers and engage the nation every single day, in the right way, at the right time. It’s a fast-paced, creative, inclusive and exciting environment.
We understand our customers in the same way as we understand our interns and want to make a positive difference to their lives. As an intern you will experience developing some of these exciting propositions and work hand in hand with some of the UK’s best agencies. During your internship, you will work in either Insight, Proposition or the execution team and will work collaboratively with many other teams in marketing to gain valuable experience for the UK’s largest retailer.
Life as an Marketing intern is diverse and no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work with agencies, meet customers and interact with colleagues across the business. Throughout your paid 10 week internship with us, there will be the chance to develop your skills in lots of different areas, from project management and stakeholder engagement, to creative thinking and presentation techniques.
Working in our Marketing team is fast paced so you will need to be proactive and embrace challenges. You will need to be passionate about our customers and put them at the heart of everything you do. The real success in this role will come from your drive and tenacity to do what’s right for our customers and your ability to work collaboratively with different teams across the business.
We kick off our internship programmes with an induction where you will learn more about our business and your programme plus it’s a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow interns. You will then be introduced to your team where you will get to know more about the area you will be working in.
You will spend two days out of your ten weeks with us working in one of our stores which you will be able to select from our store list. You will find out more about this at your induction. The time you will spend in store will help you to learn how our stores operate, how they link to your role or project and help you to understand our customers.
You will gain experience from working in a role or completing a project within your team which will help to give you a breadth of knowledge about your area and our business. You will find out more about this during your induction.
We will support your learning with masterclasses, and in addition you will have the opportunity to learn from others and on the job.
