We want people from diverse backgrounds at every level of our business, so we’ve launched our Business Diversity internship to help us attract talent to our business that we can nurture and grow. This 10-week paid programme over the summer will give you real-life experience in a key area of our business, building valuable skills to support your future career. You'll be supporting a key project, with the potential to positively affect the lives of millions of customers, as well as colleagues, communities and our planet!
There are lots of exciting projects and areas across our business which you could be placed in. This year, one of our interns has been working in our Distribution Support Office, helping us to meet our climate change targets by supporting the roll-out of electric delivery vans. Whilst another has been helping us take the lead on tackling childhood obesity, supporting the team to make sure our store ranges are in line with government guidelines. You can find out a bit more about the different areas across our business here.
A successful internship with us can guarantee your place on our Business Graduate Programme when you graduate - before you’ve even started your final year of study!
We’re looking for self-motivated and curious undergraduates, who can work collaboratively to deliver a project in our business. You don’t need previous work experience to apply. You need to be in your penultimate year of study.
Whilst anyone is eligible to apply, we are particularly keen to hear from people from following groups:
• Ethnic minority background
• Low socioeconomic background
• Consider yourself to have a disability or long-term health condition
• Identify as LGBTQ+
