In our supply chain and store merchandising teams we are dedicated to improving everything from what products are ranged in each store, to making sure we have stock in the right place at the right time to deliver a great shopping experience in a sustainable way.
The office is a really supportive environment, full of like-minded people helping you to develop the data manipulation, analytical, communication and team working skills needed to improve how we operate, whilst having the opportunity to make decisions on the direction of the work to deliver the right practical solution.
Our challenging 18 month graduate programme is a great way to build an understanding of the end to end supply chain for the UK’s largest retailer and launch your career in a critical and dynamic part of our business.
You will get to work through several placement rotations through different supply chain functions, working on landing meaningful change as part of our development programmes and understanding the operational reality of our business. Right from the start you’ll be given ownership, using technical skills, broader business understanding, and the support of colleagues across Tesco to help us achieve our goal of delivering great product availability for our customers in the most efficient way.
It is really rewarding to be able to have such an impact on the way a company of our size operates. You will need to be a curious problem solver and a proactive graduate that wants to make a positive impact on our business. You will need to be a confident communicator and work well as part of a team.
We kick off our graduate programmes with an induction where you will learn more about our business and your programme plus it’s a great opportunity for you to meet your cohort. You will then be introduced to your team where you will get to know more about the area you will be working in.
Within the first six months you will spend two weeks working in one of our stores which you will be able to select from our store list. You will find out more about this at your induction. The time you will spend in store will help you to learn how our stores operate, how they link to your role and help you to understand our customers.
You will experience a range of rotational placements which will help to give you a breadth of knowledge about your area and our business. You will find out more about your placements during your induction.
We encourage self-led development and we support this with a range of e-learning and face to face learning sessions. You will be able to use your own initiative to identify your own learning needs and choose the right training for you. You will also have the opportunity to learn from others to help you grow your skills.
