Being a graduate

At Tesco, we welcome diversity, individuality and uniqueness. We always want our colleagues to feel they can be themselves at work and we’re committed to helping them be at their best. We’re building an inclusive workplace, a place to actively celebrate the cultures, personalities and preferences of our colleagues who share the same purpose, to serve our customers, communities and planet a little better every day, and you’ll have a unique part to play.

You’ll be given responsibility from day one, so you can gain confidence in your role through hands-on experience. You’ll have access to a wide variety of workshops and resources, online or at Heart, our on-site training academy, to help you develop skills like building your network, adaptable thinking and leading change, as well as looking after your wellbeing. And don’t worry, you’ll be supported throughout your graduate programme by your manager and your buddy – they were in your shoes not so long ago!

Alexandra, Graduate -
“I worked on a packaging project, collaborating with our packaging team and suppliers to remove non-recyclable plastic from our mushroom range. It was fantastic to have ownership of a project which was right at the forefront of Tesco’s sustainability agenda”

“Since joining my programme, I’ve been encouraged to challenge myself on personal development. I was keen to develop my presentation and networking skills, so I took on a role where I presented on a weekly basis engaging with a number of stakeholders across our business”
